The Health District of Northern Larimer County has been meeting health care needs in northern Colorado since 1960. Today, it provides prescription assistance, mental health, dental, preventive and health planning services to Fort Collins, LaPorte, Timnath, Wellington, Livermore and Red Feather Lakes.
The mission of the Health District is to improve community health status through assessment, access, promotion and policy development.
To that end, the Health District maintains and operates health service facilities that work collaboratively to increase the community’s capacity through continuous evaluation of its programs for quality, value, and overall impact.
The Health District’s Health Care Matters project is holding community conversations about health care access in Larimer County. A primary goal for the community conversations is to connect people to health care access issues through their existing, closely held and experiences with the issue of health care access. Participants will be encouraged to express how they want health care to work for them, and their perspectives and ideas will be shared with decision-makers – thus giving participants a voice in health care discussions.
